The 2026 Roadmap, Decoded

What the roadmap says

The published roadmap covers four quarters: co-op expansion (Q1), a mission constructor (Q2), a new campaign chapter (Q3) and a full engine upgrade (Q4). Buried in the notes are the two changes that will actually reshape play.

Four-player co-op

Squadron co-op for four pilots lands first. The design constraint is readability — four planes on one screen — and the solution is lane-assigned wing segments rather than free flight. Expect it to change clan wars more than casual play.

The mission constructor

Players will build and share custom waves — the feature that could turn the community into a content engine. Templates, boss placement and a rating queue are confirmed; direct monetisation of maps is not.

The quiet engine upgrade

Q4's engine migration is the sleeper item: higher entity counts, better low-end performance, and — per the developer notes — 'projectile counts we are not allowed to name yet.' Bullet-hell players should be excited.

What to do now

Bank alloy for the Q3 chapter aircraft — new-campaign planes historically dominate their release meta. Skip the current cosmetic event grind; the constructor's release will make early liveries look primitive.

Our read

The roadmap is the most ambitious in the game's history, and Q4's engine work is the real headline — everything else is decoration around it. We will cover each release as it lands; watch the log.
